Don’t know what happened to the other review I started. In any case I do recommend this phone IF you are not expecting it to be a cheap high end smartphone which it is not.

What it is however is an excellent mid level cell phone.

The cell phone and wifi radios are very strong. In my home I consistently get full bars of wifi and 4 bars of cell signal. Much better than with my old cell phone.

It also works really well for navigation and the GPS signals are strong and quick to start as is the speed of the operating system.

Have never experienced any type of slow down. So yes I recommend the phone but it has it quirks. For one there is no REAR speaker. Now to me that is a significant advantage because I have never understood why anyone would want a complete stranger to hear their conversation when you have the speakerphone function turned on.

It is however a disadvantage when it comes to some things like playing some games. However, if you want a gaming phone – go buy that type of phone – this would not be the right phone for you.

The volume of the earpiece to me is also just so-so in my opinion. However I am quite sure at my age I have some minor loss of hearing. I am also very pleased with the display while reading some reviews online that criticize it.

Why anyone would need a cell phone with a p display is beyond my comprehension. My 55″ HDTV in my living room frequently shows movies in p which is the same resolution as this phone and they look just fine.

To me there is just no need for a p display. The colors are vivid and bright and this is the first phone I can actually see outside. Also it comes standard with a “blue” color reduction before bedtime so it will help some people fall to sleep more quickly.

It turns the screen a more amber color reducing the blue glare. Another plus are the three different ways you can lock your phone, A fingerprint reader which is extremely fast and very hard to trick and I tried, LOL.

You can also select of a 4 digit pin or a swipe code. You can even choose none if this is what you want.

Shoots very good daylight pictures and the automatic focus function is very quick. Night picks are just so-so. The one item I must caution everyone about is how slippery this phone is.

I was even afraid to use it until my gel case arrived to make it a little more sticky in my hand. If you don’t have aged hardened hands it might be o.

My second grip is that it is still using the old micro USB port for charging. I really wanted a type “C” connector.

Oh well – my next phone. For the price – this phone is really hard to beat. What is does do it does really well. Battery life for me is about 3 or 4 days between charges.

That is with a couple of calls and a few text messages and maybe 30 minutes of facebook or YouTube viewing.

I paid more for this phone than it’s selling for right now. Got sick of having to put my cell phone on charger every night and if I forgot, the thing was dead.

Not so with this phone, I can forget it’s on laying in the car or at the bottom of my pocketbook for 3 days and it still has juice.
