While I love my laptop-to-tablet, it’s bulky when trying to use it in a car or on a flight. I finally broke down and bought a tablet and this seemed like a good deal for the money.

And the memory card makes it a better deal. It’s an android tablet which I liked but a few of the apps I have on my phone are not compatible with this OS.

However, they weren’t “high priority” apps for me and I still can use them on my phone. I debated getting a tablet from my cell-phone provider but decided against it since I can hot-spot my phone.

This tablet works wonderfully with my phone in hot-spot mode as well as my home router. It’s much faster than my phone as well.

Overall, I gave it a 4-star as I have limited experience with tablets and felt a 5-star review would be unfair. I would recommend this. The only issue I had was the keyboard installed on this tablet does not have a “Swype” function.

I recently become accustomed to using swype and really didn’t want to have to rely on ol-fashion typing. The keyboard installed, you can see the swype but no text will appear in the field.

On the plus side, this tablet is fast, and supports most of the apps listed in the “Google Play Store”. Transfers from the tablet to my Windows 10 computer via USB cable were easy and quick.

It is noticeably faster performance wise than my four year old Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 It did not crash once – the tablet’s performance was very stable.

However, after using the new Galaxy Tab A for a while I noticed that there was an issue with the display screen. Specifically, when I used the tablet in the “landscape” orientation, the top and bottom margins of the display were noticeably dimmer than the center of the screen.

Also the lower right corner of the display had a slightly brownish tint when viewing a white page.

My older Samsung tablet does not have this issue – the backlight intensity of the old display is very uniform across the screen. So, thinking that this might be a unique problem with this particular tablet, I went to the local “yellow and blue big box” store, to take a look at the Galaxy Tab A tablets they had on display there.

What I saw surprised me – their Galaxy Tab A demo tablets had the exact same uneven screen illumination problems that the tablet from Amazon has! This problem showed up on both the 10 inch, and also the 8 inch tablets.

Once I realized that this problem was an issue with many of the Samsung tablets, not just the one I ordered from Amazon, I requested and received a refund from Amazon after I returned the tablet.

It is kind of a shame that this tablet didn’t work out for me – other than the screen backlight problem, this tablet performs very well.

Sort by: Newest Oldest. This is a great tablet, I wasn’t sure about getting the international version but it works great. The only thing I had an issue with was resetting the location because this one was set to somewhere in Asia.

Makes it a little hard when you want your local weather on your home screen. All in all a great tablet, worth the money.

I want to by new tablets that asnt been use and open. Samsung galaxy tab 2 10 1 is slow It was quickly replaced by the Tab 3 in , which is a fairly good clue of planned obsolescence.

I would recommend this to anyone. The price is not that bad, the video play back is great quality and response is great even with the protective case on it and screen protector.

I have never had to press very hard at all when making my way through the different apps and menus. Even resetting the location is not that hard though when you first start it is all in Korean or some other language but as long as you select the right option for language which was a lucky guess on my behalf everything else is easy sailing.

The sound is great as well, when you turn it up it can get nice and loud Either way I have not had any audio problems as it is not hard to hear even with the volume set at a low level.

And there is no need to worry about connectivity as I was able to connect it to my wireless printer, and with the free download from the google app store had no problem getting the software that allows me to print straight to my printer from this tablet.

Not enough internal storage. If Samsung is going to give me all these apps that I never use and not allow me to uninstal them or move them to an external drive then they need to give me more internal memory.

Storage space was a problem almost immediately. Now I’m stuck with this tablet that gives me grief. The 32 GB model is much more practical than the 16 GB model since Samsung restricts fairly severely which apps can be stored on the supplemental micro SD card.

I bought the case and a 32 GB micro SD card with this tablet and am very happy with the combination. Much small that my first one, the operating system is much the same.

You will need to make sure that the first thing you do is choose ‘English’ and the primary language!!! Although is has more memory, the updates still come in the original language, which means I don’t know what updates I’m getting updated.

Great tablet. Works well and the extra ram is very useful. Only thing I can think of that I don’t really like is the position of the back button which I keep accidentally touching!

Also, when in landscape mode the controls are at the side, which is inconvenient. I realise that this means a slight larger usable screen area but I preferred my last Samsung galaxy which had them on the screen.

So, overall great, but with a little problem. Glad initial start-up instructions in English but small pamphlet is only in Korean. Not from the USA for sure as we have to provide instructions in a million different languages.

But we wanted the 32Mb ver. Came on time as projected.

Very happy,, just trying to get all settings from one tablet to another now. Very Satisfied with seller. First know this has only two gigs of RAM as opposed to 3 gigs for the American version which explains the lag in processing.

This being an international version, it did not come in English. There was no paper in English to tell us how to set it up.

Had to spend lots of time with International customer support. After getting it working in English, it took quite a bit of time to set it up as it processed very slow through the setup process.

It would lag for quite some time as we would try to press buttons and it was thinking or processing through setup. In all it was a very frustrating and arduous process.

I would not recommend. I’m a very tech savvy person and work with technology and different devices quite a bit.
